Description

Ink wash on watercolor paper. approx 7" x 11"

this study had a dual purpose of working on perspective and learning more about ink. My biggest problem is on the far right. I was going to leave the entire open area white, but at the last minute I added some ink. I really should have left it white for better depth. The picture looks a little flat now.

I see what you mean about that part on the right making this feeling "flat," but the plain white of the paper might have been too distracting. Perhaps a darker treatment of the rest of the piece might help? It didn't jump out at me though, and I might not have noticed if you hadn't written about it in your description.

But even without any changes, the style of this is quite lovely and fluid. I really enjoy the choices you made and the variation in the line. Nice work.
